We at Vannucci have always considered Quality as something essential, to be reinforced day after day with tenacity, passion, professionalism and the proper structures and systems.

By quality we mean total quality, starting from our products - the plants - but running throughout our entire operation - our services, customer care, staff and supplier performance and our working environment.

For this reason, we naturally chose to acquire eco-compatible certification, which would provide our organisation and our work ethic with environmental visibility and grounding.

We elected to become part of the MPS System and, as from the beginning of 2010, we hold this prestigious certification standard.

The MPS organisation (Milieu Programme Sierteelt - literally, plant environment programme) is based in Holland and is a voluntary certification scheme for plant producers, based on compliance with precise and measurable environmental requirements.

Our adhesion to MPS has enabled us to draw up a procedure for data collecting and a system of checks to constantly monitor our organisation's consumption of:
• Phytopharmaceuticals
• Fertilisers
• Water
• Energy.
Special attention has also been paid to waste management. We encourage recycling, some of which is done within the company, through the transformation of green waste.

But we are particularly satisfied with efficiency levels achieved by our irrigation systems.

Today, we are able to recycle 95% of nursery effluent, that is to say, the waste water not absorbed by container plants. This water is collected in reservoirs, which also fulfil the important purpose of maintaining the hydraulic balance of the surrounding land, thus reducing the risk of flooding, stagnation and hydrological damage.

All in all, it is clear that, on one hand, monitoring, rationalising and reducing our company's consumption goes to make our nursery activity environmentally sustainable, as shown by the certification we have obtained from international organisation, MPS. On the other hand, it enables us to reduce production and running costs, keeping a check on prices, to the final advantage of our clients.
