A story of exponential growth:

It was 1938 when Vannino Vannucci, senior, founded Vannucci Piante, cultivating outdoor plants on less than a hectare of land - 8000 square meters, to be precise.
Today, Vannucci Piante cultivates 403 hectares, divided as follows:
191 hectares of field grown plants
167 hectares of pot grown plants
45 hectares under cover (glasshouses, tunnels, shade-houses, etc.)

 

The figures speak of exponential growth, constantly pursued, with an eye to fresh opportunities offered by every period. So new markets were opened up where our products were offered, their quality making them an immediate success. Today we export to 48 countries all over the world.

COMPANY PHILOSOPHY

In 1938 Pistoia was already the largest producer of nursery plants in Italy.
There were at least 20 plant nurseries in full operation, employing numerous workers. Young Vannino Vannucci very quickly became one of the best plant producers. He was a "true" nurseryman. He knew that success depended on producing better plants, which both looked beautiful and were also healthier and therefore more resistant in the toughest of climates. His were plants with a perfectly balanced structure and root systems that were still "young". He treated the plants for what they were - not assembly line products, but living beings, each with its own characteristics and requirements for obtaining flourishing growth. In this way, clients could purchase them with confidence, certain of success.
This philosophy grew out of Vannino's passion for his work, which he managed to transmit to the employees he took on, as his nursery acreage gradually increased. A passion taken on with enthusiasm by his son, Moreno, first of all, and then by his grandson, Vannino junior. The same passion that drives Vannucci Piante today.
